Fighting with My Family (2019) is a biographical comedy drama about the real-life WWE wrester Paige and her brother as they are discovered and train to be professionals. It stars Florence Pugh as Saraya “Paige” Bevis, Lena Headey as Julia “Sweet Saraya Knight” Hamer, Nick Frost as Patrick “Rowdy Ricky Knight” Bevis, Jack Lowden as Zak “Zodiac Knight” Bevis, Vince Vaughn as Hutch Morgan, a recruiter and coach for the WWE with a guest appearance Dwayne Johnson as himself/The Rock.
Born into a tight-knit wrestling family, Paige and her brother Zak are ecstatic when they get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try out for the WWE. But when only Paige earns a spot in the competitive training program, she must leave her loved ones behind and face this new cutthroat world alone. Paige’s journey pushes her to dig deep and ultimately prove to the world that what makes her different is the very thing that can make her a star.
Putting Norwich on the map, Fighting with My Family is an easy-going and fun film, mainly due to Florence Pugh’s energy as Paige. Recommendability scores for Fighting with My Family were strong to give an overall rating of 3.76.
