Welcome to Episode 66! Sugar Baby Confessionals Ruby and Sarah Mae return for Ruby’s choice Love and Friendship. A 2016 film based on a lesser non Jane Austen short, Lady Susan, starring Kate Beckinsale and directed by Whit (Last Days of Disco) Stillman.

In true Austen style it follows Lady Susan’s quest to secure a wealthy husband for her daughter and herself with wonderful period costume and witty ripostes. If that’s your thing then this will be for you – if it’s not it’s an hour and a half of someone trying to find a husband might not do it for you – your choice!

Scores

Austen and period costume fans Ruby and Sarah Mae were more generous in their scoring than Flixwatcher and this reflected in the overall scores. Love and Friendship scores 3.82 overall.
